Disney in New York by Donna Amato Now that my daughters are at ages where they can (sort of!) sit still in a movie theater-yes, with bribery in the form of candy, popcorn and the usually forbidden soda- I decided to scope out some local plays they may be interested in seeing. It appears that Disney productions-from “Peter Pan” to “The Aristocats”- are the hot tickets these days. So, now, in addition to watching Disney’s “Enchanted” at home, which seems to be on a continuous loop in my DVD player, we can go out to see a princess-y, sing-song-y, let’s-talk-to-the- animals-show in real life, too.

Giants Need to Make a Call on Plaxico Burress by Joe Pietaro
Call it a ‘Catch-17’ situation for Jerry Reese. The Giants’ general manager knows in his heart that the outcome of last Sunday’s 23-11 loss to Philadelphia in the NFC divisional round may have been different if Plaxico Burress was on the field catching everything quarterback Eli Manning would throw right between the 1 and 7 on the front of his jersey. But due to the suspension of the troubled wide receiver, we will never know that for certain.

Bye Bye to Soon to be Ex-President George Bush by Joe Wallace
I read strange things in the headlines lately. In the laugh out loud department: Soon to be Ex-President George Bush was quoted as saying people "misunderestimated" him. That noise you just heard is the collective sighing of hundreds of NYC comedy writers who know their days of easy material are coming to an end. Barack Obama doesn't talk in idiot-speak.

Here’s How to Wow Her On Valentine’s Day by Janene Mascarella
When a guy friend contacted me for my best Valentine’s Day gift suggestion, I had my hands full. Sure, diamonds are a girl's best friend but the thing is; he just bought her one—an engagement ring. Wondering how he was going to possibly top that, he was determined to “wow” his bride-to-be on Valentine’s Day. I asked him to give me some time to think.

Transporter 3 by Christopher Boyle
Welcome back to my humble internet column, one and all. For today's film review we'll be taking a look at Transporter 3, an action movie and latest installment in the popular Transporter series starring British actor Jason Statham. After reviewing several of his movies previously here on Long Island Exchange (such as The Bank Job and Death Race), I'm beginning to think that I'm something of a qualified Jason Statham expert. Let's see...he's a tough-guy who's really good at driving a car.
